This morning, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ staff and students gathered in their Houses for student-led Ash Wednesday prayer services, marking the beginning of Lent. Ashes blessed at St Dominic’s Parish were distributed as a symbol of reflection, renewal and commitment to the Lenten journey.
Select students also had the privilege of representing ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ at the 2025 Caritas Australia Project Compassion launch, joining twenty other schools from the Melbourne Archdiocese for a gathering officiated by Archbishop Peter Comensoli at Emmaus College. Embracing this year’s theme, ‘Unite Against Poverty’, Waratah House kicked off the campaign with a Shrove Tuesday pancake stall, raising funds to support those in need.
