Seventeen Year 10 and 11 French students recently embarked on an unforgettable eighteen-day journey through France.

Highlights of the trip included visiting the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and the newly reopened Notre Dame in Paris; and participating in French Language classes and attending a local high school for a day in Montpellier. The group also visited the UNESCO-listed Pont du Gard, and the Pope’s Palace in Avignon, where they connected with the history of St Catherine.

In Nice, students explored the Promenade des Anglais and Palais Lascaris, and attended Mass at a local Dominican Church. They also spent a day visiting the Matisse and Chagall Museums, Roman Ruins and an ornate Russian Church. This was followed by an incredible day in Grasse, the home of perfume, which culminated in a special visit to Chapelle de Vence where the group was able to view Matisse’s renowned line-drawing of St Dominic.

It was truly a trip of a lifetime, filled with cultural discovery, language immersion and unforgettable memories.
